Ms. Heaphy became a shareholder with the firm in 2010. Her litigation practice encompasses disputes arising in a variety of contexts, including commercial contracts, employment, and business associations. She also works on transactional matters, such as drafting and negotiating contracts.
Ms. Heaphy grew up in Holland, Michigan. She received her BA from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Columbia University. While at Columbia, Ms. Heaphy was a member of the Columbia Law Review. After graduating from law school, she moved to Albuquerque, where she worked as a federal judicial clerk for three years—first for Judge Parker of the District of New Mexico and then for Judge Hartz of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Following these clerkships, Ms. Heaphy worked as an associate attorney at RMC from 2003 to 2007. She rejoined the firm in 2009, after a break to pursue an MA at the University of Chicago.
